I think you have beautiful natural color, but instead of highlights I would get caramel or darker lowlights so it wouldn't look so "old fashioned bleached" since it's not really in style anymore except for those people who just can't get over the "blonde" look.

I think you should layer your hair and get some volumizing hair spray, (I suggest BIGSEXYHAIR or PANTENE) and then you should dye it brown on the bottom layer, or get EXTENSIONS because you look alittle young to start dying your hair and you probably dont know the long lasting effects of doing so.

I bleached my hair a few months ago and dyed it pink and purple. let's just say i got sick of that pretty fast. so i died it black. Now i've been going over it occasionally with nutral colors. right now its brown and black. Try highlighting your hair instead of dying it. When you highlight it looks a lot better than dying because you'll have a variety of blended tones in your hair rather than just one flat color. Maybe try a red that's darker than your natural tone, and/or some light brown. Also, when you highlight, they fade more naturally so you can let them grow out if you want.

I have been to many events latly, and have seen for myself the damage of what a fashion trend has done to innocent teenage girls. Besides the tan and pink skin, these girls have bleahced their hair white-blonde, wear very revealing outfits and take no consideration for how they represent or characterize themselves or the actual example they're setting for younger girls, their parents or the public. I can understand the need of peer pressure to be "different" and have heard the phrase "express yourself" but I see no "difference" in how most of these girls all look the same, or how expressing yourself leads to literally expressing your whole body, revealing curves and other inapropriate selections that can land a false image on them that I'm sure they don't realize they have. I am not disputing them, but can someone inform me why girls find the need, desire or even surge to do these things to themselves. After a while, I would think they would see how much a flase image they've set.

I think girls do this because they want more attention from the opposite sex, or maybe even to fit in with the other girls they want to be like. Even though the boys aren't drooling all over me, at least I know when one does, it won't be for my breasts, or something ridiculous like that.

well it depends if you bleach them or just dye them blonde if you bleach them mostly likely not my mom her hair is red and she has blonde highlights they didnt turn pink because she bleached them but the scrunch thing try waiting until it is barely wet tehn sstart scrunching it with you hand and add a little and i mena a little bit of hair gel like a dime size put in in by scrunching it then let it dry on itsown if you blow dry it it will be greasy looking

if you already have color in your hair, you have to bleach it first before you can put another color or it will not turn out to be the desire color you want. And you seem to always have hair problems, save money and ask for professional help.

Red is hard to bleach out so I'd be really careful or they will turn orange. I just did this about a month ago...thank Heaven's it was Halloween time or I'd have been in a bad fix. I just rebleached my hair last night and used a red/gold color corrector in the bleaching kit and got much better results so very little orange is left.

I can't help you with your color question, but I do have a scrunching solution for you. When you finish rinsing hair, wrap your hair in an old, soft t shirt. This will absorb excess moisture. Then put a small amount of mousse into hair. Grab old t shirt again and start scrunching with it. Then just let air dry. This keeps my curls together and stops fly aways due to less friction. Good luck with the highlights!

Purples would look good with your skin tone and greens/olives. If your gonna do purples, keep your lips toned tone with nude colors, if your gonna do olive eye shadow, brighten up your lips with a shade of red. A trick to avoid looking like a street walker, is if your gonna brighten up your eyes, tone down the lips, if your gonna brighten up your lips tone down the eyes... only focus on one area to brighten up if your not gonna walk down the red carpet!

i bleached my hair the other day and then dyed the bleached spots pink and it turned out pretty good but i decided i wanted more of it pink since i barely did any so i bleached over the pink which was really stupid so i dont need u to tell me that but yeah and then i left the bleach in way too long making it porous and wen i put pink on it again it faded right out so now i have like bleached hair with a brassy tone that has a pink tone..its terrible especially in a pony tail...idk wat to do..and i cant go to the hairdresser because i have already messed my hair up before this and had to go and my mom wont let me anymore...wat can i do with using only cheap stuff?! pleasee help me!

What pink color are you using........if you hair is porous, it should grab that pink really fast, yes it will fade fast, because you have opened the cuticles of the hair and those particles can leave just like the entered. You need to make sure that you are using a good conditioner now that you have bleached it. Now you know not to bleach over color, because you turn orange, and that is a whole different dilemma in itself. so be careful next time.

i have been a hairdresser for 5 years

i would suggest you do not add any more dye and maybe have the pink you ahve left stripped out THEN for a few weeks have regular conditioning treatments to restore the PH level of your hair

i would advise to stay away from bright colours for a couple of months and definatley stay away from bleach for a couple of months

once you roots start to show have a hairdresser put in some highlights and low lights to make your hair look more natural

no. thats not hot or cool. if you've done it several times than your hair propably isn't very healthy. definitely a turn off. it looks cheap and it's so not in-style anymore.

it's much more classy and hotter if your hair is one nice colour or if you really want different colours go one coulour and get some nice foils. and remeber, get it done professionally! no at home kits.

Whts the point in dying your hairs with colors that totally contrast? Ir would look weird. Coloring your hair that suits the dress is okay but making it like a rainbow...well think again.

Besides, most men are colorblind to on or the other color and less visually sensitive to those compared to women. So You are gonna attract more attention from girls than guys with that.

just call salons and see if they carry the colours or if you would like you could most likely bring in colours and they would apply them (try manic panic, Fudge or Rusk scream) most salons will try and accomodate your needs and possibly order the colour in for you....hopefully this will help you, GOOD LUCK!!

Caramel highlights would suit you great.....I wouldn't do straight across bands, that would make your face to small, and you would lose your best features "your eyes" Instead try a side sweep bang........(its an angle bang for short going gradually longer) or a "C" shape bang, whicj is also cut to the side, but "carves" around your face.....Very nice

You can get a temporary 'crazy' color dye, [quality stuff] at Sally Beauty Supply for cheap. Its nothing permanent, and won't affect your natural hair underneath. It lasts about a week, [therefore you touch it up once a week], and if you get tired of it, you simply wash it a couple extra times in the shower and it's done.

I'm actually planning on the same thing...I have the tips of my hair dyed platinum blonde, [i have dark brown hair], and I'm going to use temporary hot pink over the tips just for fun. My hair stylist, who is a well known one, and has worked with the best, recommended this, so I trust this advice 100%. :)

I'm a cheerleader.... i'm crazy, funny and spunky! always looking for fun and change. This summer i want to put some FUN colored streaks in my hair. or perhaps a crazy color underneath. I've got long dark brown wavy/curly hair 4 or 5 inches past my shoulders and layered!....brownish/hazel eyes.... and im a white girl!! haha.... what color would look best?? any ideas? i was thinking red.. but way too many peopel have it! i want something different! maybe pink? would that look good? all over my hair or in little streaks? i dont know what will look the best! help! im clueless!

If you want to get a good color in, you need to bleach the areas you want to color first. I would go with larger chunks as opposed to small highlights. Pink looks fine, a medium bright blue looks good too. Just don't dye it green, it never turns out the way you think it will.

After you bleach the color out, wait 7-10 days and use an intensive therapy conditioner. That will restore your hair, and make it safe to dye any funky color you like.... I am a fan of Manic Panic myself, but there are plenty of good colors out there.

My old hair sounds like yours. When I had it, (I have side-swept bangs, you should look into getting them!) I wanted to get a under-layer color for my hair. Normally people do it black, or dark brown; but I wanted hot pink. Toxic green is cute too. Maybe a bubbly blue. I HATE streaks, but you could definatley pick out a crazy color and do 1 or 2 random chunks of it. Right now I have a chunky bob cut w/ side swept bangs that brushes my shoulders. And I thought about dying it black w/ some bleachy blonde chunks, maybe you should do that! Good luck, have fun!!! =)

well, i have natural medium blonde hair but have dyed my hair all sorts of colours, including blue and pink. now, i have used a red dye over (my last colour) platinum blonde so my hair is still bright red at the top but has faded into a pinky orangey mess everywhere else. i would really like to go a rich chocolaty brown, but will it fade really easily? will it take and will it overpower the red? help will be much appreciated :)

Well... you've gone and done it. The reason your ends won't hold color is because they are so damaged and over processed nothing will hold in them. Think of your ends as a sponge. The more they are over processed the bigger the holes in the cuticle of the hair. Like a sponge with large hole it will absorb lots of water, in your case color. But if you hold that sponge up all the water will run out. That is what your color is doing. I would suggest that you cut your ends. Remember hair is dead and can only take so much before it is REALLY dead, as your's is. You may try to take your red dye with some shampoo and water only and reapply it over the ends. I would say all about equal parts of each, shampoo, water and color. This is what we call a filler. When you put a developer in a color it helps lighten the hair so the color can penetrate the shaft of the hair. Which in turn damages the hair even more. With the filler you will be adding color without lighting the hair again. It will still fade but not as fast and it won't damage the hair. Hope this will help and educate you on your hair. As for wanting to go a rich brown. hummmm I'd suggest you first try to get it all one color and give your hair a rest because you're going to have a bigger mess on your head.

Ok, please don't try to fix this alone. Go to a salon or even a beauty college.

Your hair is going to need to be filled. Which in essence means that when you dye from light to dark, there are many levels of color in between and in order for the dark color to last and fill in correctly there will have to be an in between color layed in first.

You will not know which color to fill with, so go to a salon and tell them what you want, they will know what to do. If this process is done correctly, the dark will stay and cover the other colors well.

You need to go to a beauty supply store and ask what product they have to strip all color from your hair. I have used them but I forget what they are called. Anyways, once color is stripped from hair it will be almost white and then you can choose any shade you want. Keep in mind the long term damage you are causing by constantly changing hair color. You may not see it now but I turned 30 year and stopped colorin my hair and 4 years ago and am still in the process of fixing the damage.

Red is a color that fades very quickly. If you go over it with a dark brown it should cover it up, it might have a redish color when your out in the sun. I've made so many messes with my hair, that when it comes to something like this go to a professional and let them fix it. First, I would go to a professional to fix all those dye jobs. But if you can't afford it here is what I would do.

Go to a beauty supply place and get a protein fill with the color brown (since you want to go brown). Then pick out a color that deposits color (does not involve any kind of lift). Usually the color you pick will end up two shades darker so remember that. Follow the instructions on the box or talk to the beauty supply person at the counter. They are usually pretty knowledgeable. Good luck!

se, if you were to get it done at a salon, they would fill it with a shade two shades lighter then your desired color. the "fill" would prevent the color from fading so fast. if you were to put a dark brown over the red u have now at home, it would probably take, but it will fade alot after each wash. if u want to cover the red then u need to add a cool shade of brown, one that looks more blue/green not red/orange. good luck!

I have blond, medium-length hair, layered with bangs. Both dresses are pink, and I'm just looking for something different to do with my hair.

Every year for prom or some dance I just curl my hair or pin it back. Also, I do everything myself, instead of paying for a stylist to do it for me, especially since I don't know what I want. However, I'm fully willing to make an exception and go all out if I can merely come up with the "perfect style." I always try to do all the searches for "prom hair" and never really come up with anything practical.

The dress for banquet is more designer elegant type of dress, while the prom dress is hot pink with sequins all over. Any suggestions would be completely excellent!

If you're not sure take her too a salon first and see what they say. Even with Hot comb you'll have to blow dry her hair first and that is difficult for a five year old.

Thinning dog hair...Shedender?

Our dog has been shedding ALOT, and we have tried the Shedender and other brushes to help. It pulls out a ton of hair, but it also leaves her looking like her hair is thining, I can see the pink of her skin underneath. We don't use that often and we are careful. Is it the brush or is something else wrong?

I have never heard of that happening with the shed ender brush before. What kind of dog do you have? Many things can contribute to your dog loosing more hair than normal including health( i.e. horomones--hypothyriodism seems to be a growing problem in dogs today) fleas and\or ticks and them biting your dog, mites, allergies and\or diet (allergic to an ingredient in food), breed type, aging (at this time a little hair loss is normal but if it is in patches see a vet). What type of dog do you have? You shouldn't use one of those type of brushes except during shedding season (spring/fall) because of the change of coat. Frequent brushing can pull to much hair and cause problems. I'd still suggest consulting with a vet, Cushings disease, mange and other nutritional deficencies can cause hair loss like this. And learn to deal with the fact that dogs shed, you can't stop it. You can minimize it with proper diet not continuous stripping of the coat.

I have pink in my hair as well, and besides red, it is the hardest color to get out. If you're wanting to have it a bleach blonde color I'm afraid that isn't possible. I was told by my hairstylist that the only way to get rid of the pink is to bleach it, and then color over it with a darker color, and even then it may not all come out. There's not sure way to strip it from your hair, but maybe you should color it a darker color, wait a while and then bleach it again? Not sure if that would help, but it's a more definite way to get it out than just bleaching, because that usually doesn't work.

EDIT: Stripping IS bleaching.. You don't strip then bleach, it's the same thing.

First off, I LOVE your hair.

Second, you can go to walmart or really any store with hair dye and get a color-stripping set.

They're about $15 for the good ones and it will take out any color you've dyed your hair.

You'll have to wait a few days so you won't damage your hair too much, but its worth it so you can dye it another color.

My hair is dark brown almost black %26amp; is below my shoulder. The problem is it gets very frizzy in humid weather or after being exposed to water... making it difficult to keep straight. I have a partial perm so i don't want to add anymore chemicals to my hair, which is very fragile. ok, so put light make up on...a little foundation (if u need it, if not then powder), pink eyeshadow (probably a light rosy shade...do NOT go over the top...), light brown mascara, light blusher and nude colour lipstick...don't put eye-liner on, but if u really want ur eyes to stand out a bit more, put some dark eyeshadow on the edge of ur eyelids...

how long is ur hair? if it's like up to the middle of ur back, then u could do a side parting, straighten it up to a few inches from the roots and curl the rest of it into locks...or if it's really long, then straighten it and then do a side parting and clip back the front hair from the larger section to the side with a small hair clamp (it should stand out - maybe pink or black with nice designs - or maybe even pink and black)...

For your hair: If you can take a curling iron with you, and if your hair will hold the curls, maybe just put some curls in various places, focusing around your face. It wouldn't take long, but would be dressier than usual. You can arrange some of the curls with cute pins too.

For make-up: something light. Girls often put on too much make-up and most guys like less. If you need foundation, then use it, otherwise, just a bit of powder so you're not shiny, eyeshadow (maybe a light rose color? Stay away from any dark color- ie dark blue), mascara (not black, something lighter or even clear), and some pink tinted lip gloss. It'll be quick and still look good. Understating is better than overstating in the make-up dept.

now the problem is that at school we have to start doing swimming next week .. i was wondering if it would be ok to re-dye the parts pink again .. or will the swimming make it come out ?

If there's a product called Manic Panic around, you could try that. I'm 28 %26amp; it was available when I was a teenager. I'm not sure it's so temporary though. You could also try something like Kool-Aid since you're hair is already light, it would show up. Or just buy a few clip on extensions that way you wouldn't have to dye(damage) your hair %26amp; you could take them out %26amp; put them back in whenever you wanted to. have fun!

You need to go seek professional help. I have done this way too many times. If you go black it could turn out green and then if you try and add blonde to it, it will really be messed up.

You're going to majorlly damage your hair. Do NOT dye it black because that's never going to come out. You'll have to keep dying black. Your best bet is to bite the bullet and go to a salon to get your hair stripped (take all the color out). You've already majorlly overprocessed your hair which will give you breakage. Box dye off the shelf is really bad to use too. I would call and see if the salon can fix it so you're not pink. Plus they'll put some conditioners on your hair and what not to help save you from having it break off, etc etc.

okay for one..when you bleach your hair you take almost all the pigment out depending on how blonde it is. *the lighter the more taken out..and so on* Which means if you die it black the die might not stick and your left with black with greenish highlights.

I have a 5 year old black lab that has been fine forever---he went outside today as usual until i got home from work and he came inside and was in the bedrrom for a couple of hours after eating and i thought he was doing his usual nap after supper--to my horror i saw hair on the bed and he has completely bitten about a 5 inch part of his tail hair off---it is gone to the pink skin--terrible looking and he acts like it is tender, which i can imagine that it is...but why and what to do about it? I wont have vet money for a few days and dont want him chewing more of his hair off.....anyone that might have some answers as to what has happened or what i can do about it til i can get him to a vet--please reply --thanks and serious answers only please!!

Call your vet and tell him what is going on. Let him know that you will not have money to pay any expenses for a few days. Most vets will let you make arrangements if they know in advance about your issue. Your dog's health is the most important thing here. If your vet won't do it, call every vet in the phone book until you find one who will.

In the meantime, give him a bath using either baby shampoo or formulated dog shampoo. Make sure you rinse him off thoroughly. Check for other spots on his body that are missing any hair. See if he is sensitive in that area. Put some neosporin on it to prevent infection. Try to make up some kind of makeshift e-collar or neckbrace to prevent him from chewing on it anymore.

You can give him a benadryl to relieve the itching, but if you do, make sure you give CHILDREN'S benadryl. An adult dose could hurt your dog.

You COULD do it, if you're prepared to have somewhat fried and crispy hair. Because it's already lightened, it would likely go as light as you'd like this time. You have to leave it on until you see it's the color you want...this can take some time. Your hair has to pass through the reddish, orange, yellow stages before it gets to that white blonde color. If you really want it done right, go to a salon---even a chain like Regis or SuperCuts or whatever because they know what they're doing and it'll take the stress off of you. GL!

If u are dead set on doing it again go with L'Oreal. Try the Ultimate Blonde. yikes.. that is a LOT to do to your hair at once... if you want a platinum or light golden blond color and not orange then you could use the same one if it workd for you the first time ... or you could got to the beauty supply store... but either way it is bleach and bleach s very damaging to your hair. Hi, Most temp vegetable colours will only show as a heen or tint of colour at best over darker hair colours. My hair is dark brown and the bleached parts go neon when I use my Atomic Pink whereas the unbleached parts go a dark burgundy colour. You tend to get the best and most vibrant results when using over light or bleached hair. Perhaps you could use as low a volume bleach as possible and try a test area / strand test on your hair. With hair color, you want to pick a color that will contrast with undertones, rather than exacerbates them. So if you are a person with warm (yellow) undertones, then you would want to try a cooler shade of hair color. If you have cooler (pink) undertones, you would want to try a warmer color.

I would recommend that you try a warm shade, rather than an ash color, which will only make you look even more pink. Also, ash dyes can end up with a sort of greenish hue, and I'm sure that's not a look you want! ;)

Try to pick a shade that is described as "neutral", because hair dyes will often look warmer than they were intended. If you pick a shade that is described as "warm", it might come out TOO warm, and look orange.

you may want to be careful, sometimes when you mix haircolors like that you will get a weird ugly brown. if you are going for a purple, the blue would probably not be such a big deal to keep, since you need blue to make purple anyway. it will take regardless. or you can bleach it if you feel the need to.

i used to just go in the pool a few times. manic panic or any kind of haircolor like that isnt meant to stick for too long so it always washed off after a few dips in the pool. but blue will turn into green, and not a cool green, more like fungus green. not too pretty.

Yeah, hair mascara. It's temporary color that you comb in and wash out after one wash. You can get some at Sally. I don't know where you could get colored clip ons. Check Sally, too. Or get some normal ones and dye them. Spray dye is best. They can be multicolored and you can change them. You can also spray dye your own hair.

i'm 25 and that stuff has been around since i was in high school, definitely check out sally's. they also have lots of other temporary hair colorings; i always used manic panic, it washes out and looks best if you have lighter hair but it will permanently stain bleached hair so be careful regardless of what you use. have fun!

ok i know its kinda early to be woundering about grad but im wearing a pink and black dress( ive been wanting 2 since like i was little) if i colour my hair black and the bottom ends are pink, then i cury it(not a perm) would it look good? also would it look funny on me since im brown??

It sounds like it would definitely be very unique and attractive but I would recommend doing a practice run before the actual grad date. That way you can make sure that the pink looks okay in your hair. Another option is to just get pink highlights, my sister got these a few years ago and they looked wonderful!

as a hairdresser i would not advise you to do a full head dye what you could do instead is have loads of high/low lights put in using foils or a cap if you have short hair this way it gives you the dyed affect but keeps the dye from touching your skin some hair and beauty suppliers do hair dies which are herbal and made of natural ingredients if you have a rays in your area go there you are meant to have a member card to shop there but most of them will let you use the shop any way

i have sandy blonde hair and fair skin... i don't even want to say "with pink undertones" because my skin is basically pink with pink undertones. it sucks. i'm extremely irish, so picture a leprechaun with blonde hair and you've got my complexion. i absolutely hate it that i'm pink all the time. is there anything i can do to hide or give the illusion of less pink color? also i've got an obsession with pale skin! i think it's absolutely beautiful.

i keep my exposure to the sun at the absolute minimum so i know if i wasn't pink i would be pale.. i want to dye my hair. is any color that would make me look pale and washed out? thanks for any help.

If you used a real henna, you should be able to layer on another shade of henna without damaging your hair at all. Henna is actuall good for your hair. However, if it was actually a chemical dye, you may want to consider going to a salon to make sure it's done right this time. Thay may layer a dark rinse over it to soften the colour, which I think is the less damaging way to do it. They may also strip the colour, but if memory serves, you won't be able to color it again right away.

Hint: DON'T buy cheap hair colour unless you want cheap results.

As far as Prell goes, I hadn't seen an actual bottle of it in years but they do appear to still be in business. I suppose with all the other, higher tech products out there, Prell fell by the wayside. I love Garnier Fructise and it's not as expensive as a lot of brands out there, but when in doubt, even the cheapest baby shampoo will always give you decent results.

similar experience happened to me... i used mineral oil on my hair... warm it up and cover yoru hair in it! leave it wrapped in a plastic cover for 1 hour and then wash it off with shampoo %26amp; condition your hair((then you can do what i did which was dye my hair the same day with a store bought loreal feria hair dye my hair became elasticy when i washed it off 5 days later but im using Joico -K-pak reconstructor on my hair and it workes!!!!!!!!)) OR the next day do the same thing and shampoo your again and repeat for 5 days this should help the henna come out just enough so you can dye your with eitehr at a salon or store bought dye so your hair looks pretty for the wedding! Then also buy k-pak shampoo/conditioner and treatments it really cures yoru hair! (amazon.com has it cheeeap) good luck!!!!!

I messed up my hair pretty bad once too. I went to a reputable (also expensive) salon and they fixed it for me. I didn't have to hack it all off either. I don't think Prell is all that great, but the new line by SunSilk is pretty descent.

I'm wanting to experiment with some make up that would bring out my best feautures...but im not sure what colours would go back with my colouring. I can pull of dark colours because even though I have pale skin and dark hair, it doesn't look gothic because I have sort of yellowish undertones to my skin like an Asian (I'm not asian tho! strangely enough) rather than pink, and also black is my natural hair colour. Whenever I wear makeup, especially eye-shadow, it makes the skin under my eyes look like it doesn't match the rest of my skin.

It's really difficult for me to find colors that accentuate my eyes without making the skin under them look gray/blue, too. No good going around looking like I have a permanent bruised eye!

If I wear the wrong shade of pink eye-shadow, it clashes with my hair, too...

Use copper tinged lipstick.

Use copper shade of blush.

Green eyeshadow is beautiful for brown-red hair.

Place a small amount of green eyeliner on your bottom eyelid.

You could go extreme by using a eggshell color as well.

Copper eyeshadow is also very, very attractive. It is my favorite shade to mix and blend, makes the eyes look good, no matter what color.

Your color doesn't have to actually match the rest of your skin. Just go head and draw attention to your eyes.

Slate-gray eyes - most people would suggest going with light blues or light grays, but I believe you probably have already done that.

I have a brown eye and a blue eye, really, so I quit worrying about the colors a long time ago.

Don't be afraid to experiment. Yes, by all means, stay away from pink for your blush. Agree with you about that.

I am sure you will get an answer from hairdresser (a name on line) who will give you all sorts of tips but you cannot email her and she claims to be an expert, so....just letting you know.

Im looking for a hair colour and style change...i've had my hair highlighted blonde, all over blonde, mahogany red, bright pink tips, black and everything in between lol, my hair colour is currently (my natural) dark brown (with natural red undertones) I have fair, pale skin, med brown eyebrows (much lighter than my hair colour) and blue eyes....any suggestions? Any ideas would be good, as long as its reasonably low maintanence (I don't mind buying certain products or going to the salon for touch ups every 6-8 weeks) and no crazy colours like blue or pink, im done with those lol....look forward to hearing your ideas, please post a pic with your suggestion so I can get a better idea, thanks alot.

Since you are done with wild colors, why not just dye your hair light brown (it will then match your eyebrows), cut a few inches off and keep it curly (some people would die to have curly hair...) Since your hair is naturally curly it would be low maintenance too. This may not sound like a huge change, but I'm sure it will greatly change your look.

For about 2 years now, I have been dying my hair unnatural colors. October was the last time that I bleached my hair, so the portion that I can dye is growing out. My hair is currently its natural color (black with a few errant white hairs) at the roots and green everywhere else.

My hair colors during this period of funky colors have included:

electric blue with atomic pink bangs

atomic pink

iguana green

flame colored - a mix of blood red and bright as f*$k yellow...sort of looked like the Heat Miser from the Christmas cartoon "The Year Without a Santa Claus".

I'm going to look at having a consultation with a hairdresser at one of the local salons within the next few weeks or so, as how my hair is at the moment with a fair bit of length to it, it looks like a mop, but the length I have isn't too far off/close to tying all back, so I'll need to weigh all that up before choosing to have my own hair cut.

Well i think that colour looks good but its really hard to get back blonde once youre dark. If you must i would go a bit darker but not too much and red will clash with the pink undertones in your skin making u look ill!

I really like your color now. I don't think I'd go red because it will probably clash with your skin tone. I think brown will look good. If you dye it brown and don't like it you can't really go back to blonde, but you could put heavy highlights in it. They are light pink, have a stalk of some type and hair-like 'fingers' waving in the water. They are about a centimeter long, covering glass, plants, and gravel. They seemed to have appeared overnight. Our fish look and act ok. Thanks for any info.

Sounds like hydra to me too. They can be dangerous to baby fish, but they aren't a problem for most fish at all. You can buy treatments to get rid of them. There are also a number of fish that eat them but that will not completely remove them from the tank, just keep the numbers under control.

Most parasite treatments will take care of them, but the best at the job would be treatments that contain copper.

I have brown hair too, brown is beautiful, I would never change my hair color for any thing. I recently got blue highlights and once they wash out I'm going to get pink highlights. I love the contrast of colors on dark hair. A friend of mine just got pink low lights it looks really good too. You could also do your tips. Hair salons will do anything you ant them to as long as price is no object. I usually do my hair myself or a friend of mine does it. I experiment with my hair a lot and I can tell you from experience, brown hair may seem boring but it's an awsome color.

hey I'm and 18 year old and going to get my haircut soon and really wanted to do something different, and I was thinking on putting some color in my hair, I'm blonde now, for color I was thinking like something really vibrant like pink or green, and not dying all my hair but just patches or streaks.

I was wondering if ya'll think this is a bad/good idea or have any advice on the matter.

Well I'd say go with a brown dye for the rest of your hair, and put the vibrant colored dye in just the front or chunks of it. I love the idea of streaks, I always get them because I think they just brighten up any look that you have. I had pink streaks in my hair just before I had my son and I loved them. I actually had blonde hair with some pink and black streaks mixed around in there.

I like the pink because even once it's faded it doesn't look too bad, whereas a blue or green turns into an ugly greenish blue faded colour that is not at all flattering.

I also think it's awesome that as a male you are open to dying your hair pink. Rock, rock on!

HI i am an hairdresser and to put pink or blue or anyother clour you will have to bleach it first and if your hair is dry now i would not recomend doing it as your hair might snap off. just wait a few months keep conditioning it and no more clours and have e few trimes and then you shopuld beable to put it onxx

They make this stuff that you can wash out. I think L'Oreal makes it. You can also go to Sally's Beauty Supply.

But if you have your heart set on getting something more permanent, I suggest you do a deep conditioning treatment first. ION I think makes one that works really good, again @ Sally's you can buy just one use worth.

Yes you would have to belach your hair first. A crazy color like pink or blue would not show up on dark brown. The only thing that would show up would be a pinkish darkbrown or blueish dark brown in the sunlight.

And yes, if your hair is already drying out from regualr dying, bleaching would speed it up.

And tinkerbell, I was a hair dresser before becoming a med student.

Your hair wouldn't SNAP OFF from bleach. If you REALLY were a hair dresser, you would know that's a myth.

1. make up: the dress is pink with sort of a a silverish transparent covering thing on top, and tiny white flowers all over the silver covering..but you can still see the pink, its a pink dress. what color make up should i do? eye shadow color, eyeliner color, lip gloss, etc..

2. hair: i dont look good with hair up, i def wanna keep it down. my hair goes down about 6/7 inches past my shoulders. i keep it normally straight, what should i do with it for prom?

make up depends. if your skin is light and plae then use a light color like pink..but if your skin is dark then use like brown.

for your hair uh..play around with it. clip it with clips, curl it, wave it, etc. yeah. =]

Make up: Shimmery silver with a hint of pink on top of that. use black eyeliner but very soft, and make ur eyes pop with some voluminous mascara, curl them first.

It seems pretty long, so GENTLY curl it. Set it in hot rollers for about 10 minutes, then take it down and brush it out with a small brush. Pull some of it back( for a half/half) and clip it with a silver clip.When you have the right look, hairspray it into place.

even with short hair you can do different things with it.. I had short hair too.. I eventually grew it out starting with growning the back of the head shorter but letting the top part to grow out.. within like 6-12 months my hair was closer to a bob like haircut.. don't know but you can always put barrets in it.. or even put highlights.. get some magazines.. that's where I found some cool ideas..

Hey guys, I have a blonde flash in my hair which has been coloured, red, blue, pink etc and is now a purpley pink. i am 18 , white, and so my hair is smooth not course. I accidentally dyed my blonde hair pink once (I was going for red) and was told rubbing baby oil in my hair then washing it would help it fade. It did seem to work, but I don't remember how long the color was supposed to last in the first place (it may have been less permanent than your pink), and I didn't dye over top of it. But it's simple enough that it can't hurt to try - good luck!

You could try a treatment of Chamomile to lighten the hair (lemon juice in hot water also works). You will require several treatments to lighten the hair so that the pink will disappear.

For one treatment choose up to 3 essential oils, use five drops of each essential oil to two tablespoons of carrier oil (long hair will require more).

Warm the blended oils by placing the container in a bowl of boiling water, then massage into the scalp.

Wrap with a hot towel, leave for 15 minutes, and then shampoo as normal.

(As an Aromatherapist, I recommend chamomile, lavender %26amp; lemon essential oils, Chamomile %26amp; Lemon will lighten and Lavender will treat the damage caused by the constant colouring treatments. With Sunflower or Sweet Almond carrier oil, if you are not allergic to nuts, if you are, I suggest Grapeseed or Jojoba.)

NB: tablespoon of carrier oil is 15ml

If you wish you can use a home-made shampoo:

You will need:

15ml base shampoo (plain or coconut, obtained from major drugstores ie. Boots, Superdrug, Lloyds chemist etc).

Add 3 drops of chamomile

3 drops of lemon

3 drops of lavender

Replace the cap and shake the bottle. Then shampoo as normal (it will not lather as much a a commercial shampoo but will do the job.)

You can do the same with a base conditioner also if you desire.

You can buy good quality essential oils %26amp; carrier oils on-line at www.eartharoma.com his prices are very reasonable, the quality is great and he only uses 100% organic produce. He's also an ethical trader.

Hi if you have tried washing it over and over again then you will just have to wait till tomorrow. Unless you have a Tesco store that is open 24 hours. It doesnt matter wheather your hair is smooth or course because your hair is bleached to get the blonde streak that make that piece of hair course anyway so it will take ages to fade out, and it a pain in the backside to go over with bleach as it has no colour but the pink to lighten. the only other way is to try and disguise it underneath your other hair with a clip and see how that goes until you can get another colour sorted

I bleached a few parts of my hair to put a red color in it..but now i want to get a different color instead of having red..i wanna get pink or something...but the red paint still hasnt faded.. i heard that something that sounded sort of like "hair color stripper" takes ur old color off and helps if u want to put a new color on...but i dont know if its true or if i misunderstood what i heard.

Do you know how i can do or if theres something i could buy to take the red color off my hair so that i could put a pink color instead,without having to wait for it to fade???

Bleach is a "hair color stripper". Bleach strips out the natural hair color and it will strip out the tinted hair color. Be careful if you keep putting bleach over bleached hair: it could break off. Why not just bleach out some different sections and make them pink? Red and pink would look great together.

Okay, so my best friend recently bleached the underneath of my hair, and then dyed it hot hot pink with Manic Panic. Problem is, she messed up big time. My hair is originally a medium to darker brown, and I still have brown chucks where she didn't bleach it right, and blonde strands where she didn't dye it right. I'm absolutely mortified that I did this in the first place. It's been in for two weeks and I'm ready to go nuts. I've already washed it with Tide, and I am tempted to use baking soda. Does anyone out there know a way without having to resort to go to a professional to get this stuff out of my hair without killing it?

Bleaching long hair is pretty tricky!

I had the same problem, I bleached my hair and I was left with some super blonde chunks, some brown patches, and some weird orange, brassy in-between color.

Here's what I did:

After the first bleaching, I waited about a week and then bleached it again. This time, I put the bleach on the significantly darker parts first, waited about 10 minutes, and then added it to the rest of my (except my scalp, which was super blonde). This will help get the pink out of your hair. It's really important to avoid putting bleach on hair that is already ready really bleached, it can really weaken it, and the last thing you want it the hair to break off.

This helped even it out, although it wasn't perfect.

The next day, I went an bought a blondish color hair dye and dyed my hair. I picked a shade that was in-between the darkest shade and the lightest shade my hair was.

This really made my hair look better and it will help yours too.

I am assuming you have ginger hair now. Have you ever considered reds? If you log onto www.fudge.com you will find a picture of a red headed woman. This colour was achieved by first making several plaited pony tails, cutting into them, bleaching them (whilst still in pony tails) and then colouring each segmant of each pony tail one of three similar reds. i agree with the other bloke, red hair would suit you, just look at that nicola roberts from girls aloud. She is naturally ginger and she has gone a lovely shade of red, which really suits, although from personal experience it is very hard to get rid of red, takes a lot of covering up or growing out.

Ginger is a nice colour though, no-one ever likes what they were given anyway.

I have blondish hair, I've noticed I'm always pink or tanned. Even in winter I keep being pink, and most people with blond and brown hair are this way. But people with black hair have the same complexion as milk, even after they've been on the sun, they don't get pink, they are still white.

Me too.My hair was dirty blonde. And I am into the scene/emo stuff. For my hair at my school you arent allowed too do unatural hair colors, so I did a lighter blonde on top and then dark brown under. It looks funky, but if you ever try to change your mind and dont wanna look punkish, then its great for preppy or whatever also! =)

so i have curly and puffy hair and lots of it. i dont have kinky hair and i dont use perms. i usually straighten my hair with a flat iron. but i realized that its damaging my hair especially my ends. so my hairdresser trimmed my ends and everything and told me that i should try mousse (i bought Aussie foam mousse) and she told me to try this Spanish hair cream called Cerimidas (its in a pink bottle). well i read the directions and it said that after your wash your hair while its wet you put it on your hair. so i did that, i took sections of my hair and put the mousse and hair lotion on each section then i let it airdry. after it dried it was somewhat curly but so puffy. so did i do it right? should i have combed it through my hair? what are the steps and how can i use the mousse and hair lotion so that i get looser curls/"spanish curls" or get it so that its not soo puffy/poofy???

after you put the mousse in your hair, you should scrunch it up toward your head with your hands, that makes it curl...make sure that all of your hair gets the mousse on it too or else part of your hair will be all puffy

Ok so i want to dye my hair a really wacky color like pink, green, blue, purple, whatever, but i dont know where i can do it. I have dark brown hair and eyebrows, and brown eyes. I only wnat to do it for a month or at most just over summer break (almost three months) adn my skin will be tan then. Im 14 and my mom is fine with it, as long as i pay. If you go to a beauty store you can find semi permenanty dyes that are reasonably priced. If this is your first time doing this i suggest just doing streaks of whichever wild and crazy color you chose, because its probably going to be quite a shock! Good Luck!

A side bang is a great way to update any hair style...I would keep the length where it's at. Leaving your hair down either straight or curly is always an option, maybe add some layers...also ponytails with accessories such as headbands, scarves, or clips are fun. As far as makeup...blue eyes pop when you wear gold eyeshadows...brown is a great eyeliner choice b/c it's more sublte than black and great for everyday. I would stick with the lip gloss, but since your lips are so colorful you could even just wear chapstick. I would also add some pink blush in the mix.

Lots of girls are starting to curl their hair insted of flat ironing it so you can try that. Also headbands are huge right now! So you can wear those with your hair down or in a ponytail.

I have a natural dark blonde shade that is almost neutral and loves to pull brassy when bleached. For the longest time I was getting highlights put into it. After some time I decided I no longer wanted to be blonde but instead return to my natural color. I went to my stylist who put a filler I assume on my hair that made it turn a shrimpy pink color and then after rinsing put a tint on to match my hair with my dark roots. It turned out great with some brassiness near the roots but nothing too bad. After about a month the tint faded out, it was still dark but not nearly as dark as the roots. I went to Paul Brown here in Hawaii and the stylist put a neutral toner on it to match my roots. After less then a week the toner has washed out and its back to the way it was before even after using phosphate free shampoo. I have light blonde hair now with dark blonde roots. What can I use to to match my roots that will stay in?? another toner or permanent dye? HELP!

You're better off finding a toner rather than using a permanent dye on your bleach blonde hair since it will soak up too much color like a sponge and turn out darker than you want it...If you're looking to for something permanent try going to someone who's a specialist in hair color correction to get want you'd want.

w0w! i had the same problem last year. Since ur hair color is dark coco brown, yes pink would look good, and maybe even orange. Buy the spray that washes out! It will not damage your hair! also , highs would look best . then, on a black belt, use white out or paint to draw little skulls or even hearts ( broken) , i love your outfit idea. on ur t shirt maybe draw a big skulls on it like the shirt a punk or emo girl would wear.
