Im considering getting pink streaks, any opinions or tips?

I have dark brown hair and im thinking about getting some pink streaks in it. just some at the bottom layer, and maybe the second layer. im just getting them underneath. do you think it will look good? any one done this before? and if anyone knows, whats the process? thanks

ive done it...they bleach where the streaks will go and then dye them pink.

yes, my friend has done this before, and it looked really good. she had blonde hair though.

if you're unsure weather you really want to do it, you could always go for clip in extensions?

I have naturally dark brown hair. I have pink and purple panels in my hair.

First, you get your hair bleached for a while. Then washed, then you get the pink put in, and after if you want, cut and style. It takes a while.

Last time I got my hair done, my appointment was at 9am and I left at almost 1pm.

At the salon I work at, we use Goldwell color pink. Comes out very bright, the only thing is that you need to refresh the color often like every 10 days cause it starts to fade, Also your hair needs to be bleached out before the pink color will stick.

A better idea, would be to put individual hair extensions which I have tried myself, the color never fades, They glue in your hair and can be removed when you are ready to take them off.

Get it done professionally first of all. I think it will look great. You need to get it bleached first then put in the pink. But keep in mind pink last what? 3 weeks at most then it fades out. So be prepared for frequent salon trips. if your going to do it at home,be careful. you need to first bleach the sections you want pink, then apply the color. its going to be vibrant for the first few days btu after that its going to start looking really pale, gotta re-do it.
